Reviews policy
Updated October 16, 2026
This page sets out what a review on The Cam Verdict is and the rules it follows. In the United Kingdom, the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 bans fake reviews and asks every publisher of reviews to say how it prevents them. In the United States, the Federal Trade Commission's rule on consumer reviews and testimonials (16 CFR part 465) bans fake or misleading reviews and testimonials. Here is how we apply both.
What our reviews are
A review on The Cam Verdict is an editorial assessment of a platform, written from documents: official pages, terms of service, help centers, prices read on a given date and dated public sources. It is not an account of personal use. Grant Ellis, the site's pen name, does not test the platforms, and no review claims or suggests otherwise.
How a review is written
- Every fact comes from a source named in the review, with the date it was read.
- Every figure is checked against its source before publication, and every review is read in full before it goes online.
- Scores follow the scale published on How we rate, the same for every site.
- Platforms do not see a review before it is published and have no say in it.
No fake reviews, no user reviews
- We never write, buy or commission a review or a testimonial, and we never present an opinion as an experience someone had when they did not.
- The site hosts no user reviews and no comments, and publishes no star rating attributed to users. Every score is the site's own.
- Nobody is paid or rewarded for an opinion that appears on the site.
Quoted opinions
When a review quotes what people say on forums or review sites, the quote is presented as a third-party opinion, with its source and date, and it is not checked by us. We do not edit a quote to change its meaning, and we do not pick only favorable quotes to give a false picture.
Money and reviews
Nobody pays for a review, a score or a place in a ranking. We earn a commission through paid links, which never changes a score; the advertising disclosure explains how.
Updates
Prices are checked every month and scores every quarter, or sooner when a site changes something that matters: a new age check, a payment method added or dropped, a public incident. Every review shows when its prices were checked and when it was last updated.
Corrections
If a fact in a review is wrong or out of date, write to grant@thecamverdict.com with the page and the fact. We answer within 7 days. A confirmed mistake is corrected and the date of the update changes on the page. To have a screenshot or personal data removed, see content removal.
