Cookie policy

Updated October 16, 2026

This is the full list of cookies and similar tools The Cam Verdict uses, and how to control them. The rest of how data is handled, and your rights, are in the privacy policy.

What they are

A cookie is a small file a site stores in your browser. Some tools work in a similar way, such as the browser's local storage. The law treats them alike, and so does this page.

We use no advertising or profiling cookies.

Functional tools

Name Type Purpose Duration Provider
tcv_consent_v1 localStorage Remembers whether you accepted or refused statistics, so the notice does not come back on every page. Until you clear it The Cam Verdict
tcv_age_ok_v1 localStorage Remembers that you confirmed you are 18 or older, so the age window does not come back. Until you clear it The Cam Verdict
va_optout localStorage Exists only if you turn off audience measurement in the privacy policy: it stops anything being sent about your visits. Until you clear it The Cam Verdict

Vercel's audience measurement sets no cookie and stores nothing in your browser. The values above stay in your browser: they reach neither us nor anyone else, and they do not identify you.

Visit statistics (only with consent)

Name Type Purpose Duration Provider
_ga Cookie Tells visitors apart in Google Analytics 4. 2 years Google LLC
_ga_* Cookie Keeps the session state in Google Analytics 4 (the suffix is the property ID). 2 years Google LLC
_clck Cookie Visitor identifier in Microsoft Clarity. 1 year Microsoft Corporation
_clsk Cookie Links the pages seen in one session in Clarity. 1 day Microsoft Corporation
CLID Cookie Recognizes the same device in Clarity from one session to the next. 1 year Microsoft Corporation

These tools load only after you click "Accept statistics". With "Refuse statistics", the site works the same, without any of these cookies.

Links to the platforms

When you click a link to a platform, you leave The Cam Verdict. The tracking service of the affiliate program and the platform itself may set their own cookies on their own domain. We do not set them, and they are governed by those services' policies.

How to choose

On the site. On your first visit, a notice at the bottom of the screen offers two buttons side by side: "Refuse statistics" and "Accept statistics". Refusing takes one click, like accepting. Until you choose, no statistics cookie is set, and scrolling or browsing does not count as consent.

To change your mind. Delete the tcv_consent_v1 entry from your browser's local storage (or this site's data from your browser settings) and reload the page: the notice comes back.

In your browser. Every common browser lets you see, block or delete cookies and site data in its privacy settings.

Changes and questions
